In 2014, the U.S. Senate Resolution 533 was passed declaring September as Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month in the United States. With this declaration, organizations have strived to raise awareness on SCI in hopes of promoting research and education in the greater community.
We are contributing to SCI research by studying the efficacy of epidural spinal cord stimulation in restoring volitional movement and autonomic function in chronic SCI. In addition, we work to educate our community by disseminating resources on our public platforms.
